They say the only good thing about hitting rock bottom is that it can't get any worse . . . or can it?
World famous boxing champ, Felix Sanchez, had it all—the fame, the fortune, and all the women any man could ask for. When the hours of partying followed by hours spent in court and in rehab begin to outnumber the hours he spends training, losing his title comes as no surprise to everyone. The world assumes he deserved to lose it.
Only those closest to Felix know the real truth behind his sudden downward spiral. And if Felix has his way, no one else ever will. With an uncertain future ahead of him, he heads back to his roots—5th Street—the gym that started it all for him. It's where he meets the humble but mighty little Ms. Ella.

Then just when he begins to worry that his past is letting his possessive and jaded heart get the best of him, he's blindsided in the most brutal way—he's brought to his knees—to what could be the one low in his life he may never recover from.

Though out her trauma, she has risen above to become an advocate for crime all at a relatively young age. Running a self defense class at the 5th street gym, she has managed to avoid meeting Felix Sanchez, The Felix Sanchez.
This story was perfection, they meet with mutual admiration is the first thing that they feel. The Feelings of admiration begin to change to friendship. Friendship to more than caring, then love.
Past hurts of betrayal and loss threaten to come between them, refusing to let it happen they opt for complete honesty. This helps build a strong and beautiful relationship. With more struggles ahead the love they have for each other becomes stronger.
I loved reading it and believe me I couldn't put it down. This is the first book of the 5th Street series that I have read, but I get the connection all the guys play with each other. The bond they share as more than friends.. a FAMILY. I am now going to be doing a 5th street marathon. You can read Felix as a stand alone but I guarantee that you will want to know more about the men of 5th Street!

Teaser:
"No,
not Ella," he lied. "One of the guys I've been working with."
Hector
turned to look at him, still smirking. "You sure? Because you looked like
you were getting ready to go talk to Ella and, uh, her friend there. Who is
that she's having lunch with?"
"I
dunno," Felix lied again, looking around trying his damnedest to look
uninterested in Ella and her friend.
"The
guy I'm looking for isn't here," he said and started to walk away.
"Oh, I
know who that is," Hector said. "That's the guy working with Drew.
Charlee mentioned he had a thing for Ella and would be coming down to ask her
out."
Felix stopped
in his tracks and spun around. Hector's head fell back and he laughed. "I
fucking knew it!"
He shoved
Noah in the arm. "Didn't I tell you?"
