A return to the dark side ā€¦

Four stories, intertwined by fate.

There is nothing these men and women wonā€™t do for the love they fought so hard to keep.

Three years have passed since their worlds collided, but their stories have yet to end.

As Daniel and Ava learn to cope with their new reality, they decide to take the ultimate step toward freedom, but itā€™s not without cost.

For Angel and Sky, returning to the place where they met isnā€™t without regrets.

While Viktor and Alexis discover an old friend has disappeared, they uncover something they werenā€™t prepared for.

And while Phoenix and Vanessa are blissfully unaware of whatā€™s about to go down, thereā€™s at least one person who will always have their back ā€¦

An old friend no one saw coming.

This is a novella. Itā€™s NOT a standalone. Itā€™s recommended to read the following books first: Stalker, Twenty-One, Ultimate Sin, and Viktor. Make sure to also check out Mr. X, the book that started it all!

Excerpt

Phoenix slams the door shut behind her and immediately turns around and barges toward me just so he can lock me in his arms and twirl me around.

ā€œYes! Viva Las Vegas, baby!ā€ I yell, grinning like mad.

ā€œYou happy, princess?ā€ he asks as he lowers me to the ground again, still holding me close.

ā€œI love it ā€¦ā€ I muse. ā€œItā€™s exactly what I wanted. How I pictured us together.ā€

The lopsided smile on his face makes me lick my lips, and he grabs my chin and inches closer.

ā€œCā€™mere, sweet cheeks.ā€ He smashes his lips onto mine with full fervor, not sparing even a second to breathe. Every time he kisses me, I feel like I can live forever, and now that we have this house, the home of my dreams, together ā€¦ it just feels like I can finally live my happy forever after.

ā€œItā€™s a big home,ā€ I murmur as our lips unlock.

ā€œMaybe we should have a housewarming party,ā€ he says, wriggling his eyebrows.

ā€œHousewarming?ā€ I frown. ā€œWe donā€™t have any f ā€¦ Oh ā€¦ā€ Finally, I get what he means.

He grins, and his tongue dips out to lick his lips as he growls. ā€œOh, yes, princess. Time to get the chains out.ā€

He kisses my chin and runs his tongue all the way down my neck, and I moan softly from his touch.

ā€œWhere do you want it, princess?ā€ he whispers against my skin. ā€œWe can do it everywhere ā€¦ in the kitchen. On the table. On the stairs. Or maybe against the wall.ā€ He picks me up below the hips and pushes me up against the wall.

ā€œWe have all the time in the world,ā€ I say. ā€œWhy not everywhere?ā€

ā€œGood thinking.ā€ He grins.

ā€œNot a lot of furniture to use for fucking, though,ā€ I add. ā€œItā€™s still so empty.ā€

ā€œWeā€™ll go shopping tomorrow,ā€ he growls, pressing his lips between my breasts.

ā€œI donā€™t mean just that. I mean ā€¦ this house ā€¦ it has so many rooms. What will we do with them?ā€

ā€œYou wanna worry about that now?ā€ he growls as he rips down his zipper. ā€œWhile Iā€™m on the verge of fucking your pussy raw?ā€

ā€œI wanna know what youā€™re thinking,ā€ I reply. ā€œWhat weā€™re gonna do now that we finally have a place to call home.ā€

ā€œWhat do you mean?ā€ he says, stalling in the middle of pulling down his pants.

ā€œI donā€™t know. I mean itā€™s an awfully big home to fill up with just the two of us.ā€

He tilts his head back, his eyebrows drawing together. ā€œWhat are you saying, princess? Are you seriously thinking ā€¦ā€

ā€œWhat?ā€ I shrug.

ā€œNo ā€¦ā€ Phoenix shakes his head.

ā€œYou donā€™t want ā€¦ā€

ā€œUs? A baby?ā€ He laughs, and with the face heā€™s making, he has me laughing too. ā€œStop making silly jokes, princess. You know we arenā€™t cut out for that shit. Next thing you know, someoneā€™s calling us Mommy and Daddy. Iā€™m not that old.ā€

Closing my eyes, I shake my head. ā€œYouā€™re right. I donā€™t even know why I thought of it.ā€ Probably because people always say you should start a family before you can be happy. But who am I kidding? Me, a mother? Thatā€™s the stupidest thing Iā€™ve ever heard.

ā€œWeā€™re together ā€¦ on our own ā€¦ and no oneā€™s gonna tear us apart. Iā€™d say thatā€™s reason enough to celebrate.ā€ He grins against my lips and his hands suddenly grip my hips, jerking down my pants. ā€œNow ā€¦ where were we?ā€
