I always admire when am author tackles hard topics in their stories to bring to light the issues in the world. The topic in this book is something that is unfortunately real and as I read and read her amazing book that deals with human trafficking, I felt proud that she took it on. It couldn't have been an easy task.
Reading this book was incredibly emotional for me, as I connected with Emily. She had a group of people that help her and encourage her to be better, her Jiminy Crickets! Oh and let's not forget her biggest fan...Ryder, yeah hunky sexy and dirty talking Ryder. Her champion from the other side of the tracks that is so worthy of love and much more.
I love reading KC Lynn's books, she never shies away from issue that a hard to stomach. She tell a beautiful romance story while not only making the heroin stronger but bringing in her knight in not so shinning armor to her rescue. At the core of her romance is a lesson and I am always thrilled to have read them.
I am happy that Emily gets the support and love she deserves, because like her I can relate to feeling less than what I am at times, struggling to be the person I show on the outside. Bravo K.C keep 'em coming!
