What can I say about this amazing, beautiful, and painful story. Simply that being who you are is never as easy as people say. Showing your true colors takes courage, not being the status quo is scary specially in a world that still shows intolerance. For Holden learning that lesson the hard way left scars, not only from the trauma of his ordeal but the fact that his parents led him to where the abuse happened, well let’s just say those scars healed over and open constantly. What was left was a man fighting himself in self sabotaging ways to prevent the happiness that was before him, River.
Now for River, hiding fro the world was getting harder to do and when he meets the one person who sees, him? The revelation of that simple fact turns his world upside down. But no two people were meant to that Holden and River. They were meant to find one another, they were meant to pick up the puzzle pieces to create their picture.
