This book started out as a simple romance, where the boy comes for the woman he loves. That’s what I thought, but it turned out to be so much more. The author gives me a mystery, hearts that have to be mended and won over by trust, oh and a psychic!
I literally did a double take on the story as it started to unfold in front of me. She gave me characters that spoke to my heart and soul, as a mother I connected with Teagan. Always thinking of how my kids are the most important thing, putting my desires on the back burner for fear they would think less of me. She gave me the dream of a man that would stand by my decisions and support me. She gave me my version of a Fairy Tale .
She gave me family and memories through the eyes of her amazing characters, with love that bounced off the pages. Another win for the fabulous Tess Thompson.

About Tess
USA Today bestselling author Tess Thompson writes small-town romances and historical romance. She started her writing career in fourth grade when she wrote a story about an orphan who opened a pizza restaurant. Oddly enough, her first novel, "Riversong" is about an adult orphan who opens a restaurant. Clearly, she's been obsessed with food and words for a long time now.
With a degree from the University of Southern California in theater, she’s spent her adult life studying story, word craft, and character. Since 2011, she’s published 25 novels and 5 novellas. Most days she spends at her desk chasing her daily word count or rewriting a terrible first draft.
