A trip to Baker’s Creek and the Aldridge billionaire brother’s gives us the story of Henry and Sofia. This is the second book in the series and can be read as a stand alone as each book is about one of the brothers. I myself am a fan of the brothers and love that how they are growing as a family there for I recommend reading them in order.
Now this book has a special place in my heart because of the growth shown by Henry and Sofia. Both are strong willed and incredibly business smart but both have self worth issues on love. For Henry learning that he is worthy of love is something that I connected with. It’s hard to believe when the love given by a parent is attached to strings then thrown into your face when you don’t comply leaves a mark. A mark that molds you for the future and the way you interact with others. It makes you standoffish, to the point that people judge you as an unfeeling person. His growth in this book is as he would call it a Miracle. Which intern makes him a better business man for his employees.
Sofia opens up and grows even more into her role as a business leader in the MERKLE corporation. A position that she wields for both the growth of the company and the employees that work for it. But this story is more about how she finally let herself have something for herself. Something that makes her heart full and is selfishly for herself, she lets Henry in.
With the stipulations in place that Aldridge senior puts in place for them, they have to overcome more than any other you couple has to endure. That is what makes this story so beautiful, love overcoming any and everything to create a stronger bond making dreams come true.
