This is the first book I have read by this author, and I can honestly say it will not be the last! I loved it! Davis is a hottie and his daughter Libby is a cutie. Scott the brooding confused yet, not so confused Veterinary trying to get a handle on his emotions, to start living his life out in public is very endearing. Early on in the story you get that Scott has not been the most accepting person, but you also feel his struggles and fears making you see why he would lash out in the way he has in the past. The relationship that grows between Davis and Scott is truly a beautiful one. A friendship that makes both of them reflect on their own lives and how they can help one another grow more fully linking themselves to each other more permanently.
There a lot of firsts and family times that will make your heart melt. There are also moments where you will literally laugh out loud, so make sure you are alone so you aren't looked at as a crazy person like me. I was at work at my lunch break...
This book can be read as a stand alone, but to get the complete story behind Tanner, Carter and Scott's connection I highly recommend that you read Let Me Show You.
To sum up this book is funny, passionate and heart warming, a must read!
