The Book Fairy Reviews's review
Living after the tragedy of losing their only daughter has been difficult, but that have made one worth living. Leah' business has been growing and thriving and Robert's boxing career has been moving in the right direction. Not to say their aren't things that still scare them and that things are perfect no, not in the least. Leah is afraid of the match that Robert is trying to line up. To gain his title away from a man that has already killed another in the ring is frightening. But as I said they are happy as or at least as happy as a family living with survivors guilt can be, until they get news that will take everything they have fought away.
This is a story that will definitely have you in tears. It will have you waiting at the edge of you seat gripping your readers tightly waiting for what will come next. Suspenseful and empowering this. the story of Robert and Leah takes into the what if's of a situation that is the fear of every expecting parent and bringing it to life.
I tried to put myself in her place as I read this and I know that she is a much stronger woman that I would have been. I mean to lose you child and then to have to lose her again.... Nope not me, I would curl up in a ball and fade away. Leah is my hero in this story.
Robert the strong boxer shows us just how vulnerable he can be. He is the man that will hold her up but also requires her to hold him up as well.
Perfection in a story that yes, ladies ends in a cliffer. But the suspense will drive you to re-read it again and again, until Brenda gives us the next installment of this heart breaking story of a loving couple fighting for a life worth living.
