Wow, a book about survival disguised as a romance! An AMAZING read. Carter and Shaw best friends fighting to survive in a world where using or being used is the only way to survive. Where you have to use what is accessible whether it be your fists or... well you get the picture. To find love among the rough and grit of real struggles is what makes this read incredible and real.
As with all of the books that I have read by Nicole, you find yourself living and breathing their pain and struggles in a real way. This is exactly what you want in a book, a way to lose yourself for just a little while. For me any book that can truly achieve that is definitely a 5 star read and more.
