As expected going back to Baker’s Creek was going to tear me apart. The Aldridge men are all broken. In some way or another, they have built walls. The women in their lives have had to suffer the brunt of their brokenness and in the process helped to heal them. In this the third book I can sash with honesty that I have fallen in love with each brother more s their stories unfold in this series, but Pierce.... Pierce was the one I was eagerly waiting for. The strong lawyer that is navigating through the muck and trying to rein in the 6 brothers. The strong one that was so damaged he let his mother and her family ruin what he wanted most in this world, Leyla .
Pierce is the one that I connected with the most as I have read the three books and begged for it to come next. I am so grateful to have read his story that no lie I have read it twice! Pierce is the true definition of getting in your own way. His love for Leyla is so strong that the way he shows it comes out a cruel, only because of what he hides. The same can be said for Leyla, but shewearsheremoti0ns on her sleeve. If you have read the first 2 books in the series you will see how theirs loves shines through out the series, even as they both say otherwise.
This book Can be read as a stand alone, but you should read the firs 2 to get a true feel of what Willia Aldridge has done to his boy’s. I guarantee you will be hooked and maybe, just maybe you will see how amazing they all are, but Pierce is mine and Leyla’s!
When I pick up a book written by Claudia I know that my heart and soul will go through a range of emotions ending with my heart in my throat. This book did not disappoint. As expected I know writing this review blurry eyed having fallen even harder for Pierce Aldridge and Claudia Burgoa’s amazing imagination. Bring on the next brother I can’t wait to get my fix!
