That all changes with one phone call. Brianna Sharpe, the girl heā€™d loved as a boy, is leaving an abusive lover and needs someplace to hide.

Opening his home to Bree is easy. Protecting his heart is a different story. Sheā€™d completely shattered it once already. But Bree has changed and Riley wants to think there might be a chance. Only...what will she do when she discovers his secrets?

ā€œIs everything okay, Ry?ā€

The moonlight filtering in through the narrow slit in the curtains painted her skin with a soft, silvery light. Her eyes were darker than heā€™d ever seen them and he had to curl his hands into fists to keep from reaching for her.

ā€œEverythingā€™s fine, Bree,ā€ he lied.

Even to his own ears, the words sounded hollow.

ā€œThen why arenā€™t you talking to me? Why donā€™t you seem to want to look at me anymore?ā€

She was trying to torture him.

Slowly, he reached out and skimmed the back of his fingers down her cheek, careful to keep the touch light.

ā€œWeā€™re talking now. Iā€™m looking at you now.ā€

ā€œAnd youā€™re ready to haul ass out of here,ā€ she said, looking wounded.

ā€œBecause if I donā€™tā€”ā€ He snapped his jaw shut before the rest of the words could slip out, but heā€™d said too much already.

Her eyes widened. ā€œIf you donā€™t, what?ā€

ā€œBree.ā€ Her name came out a low rasp. ā€œGo to bed, okay? Go in there with your son and go to sleep.ā€

ā€œIā€™ll go to bed when I damn well want.ā€ She poked him in the chest with her finger. ā€œHow about you answer me now?ā€

He caught her wrist.

She tugged, and reflexively, he tugged back harder.

She crashed against his chest and the warm, soft weight of her had him biting back a groan.

She splayed the fingers of her left hand against his chest. He could feel her pulse bounding madly against his thumb. Slowly, he stroked that rapid beat, staring into her eyes.

ā€œEverythingā€™s wrong,ā€ he said without thinking. ā€œI canā€™t even go into detail about most of it, but the worst thing is that youā€™re here and I canā€™t touch you. I need you like I need my next breath. I always have. But youā€™re just as out of reach now as youā€™ve been for the past ten years.ā€

He started to let her go, telling himself heā€™d lock himself in the bathroom for the next hour, maybe longer. Or maybe heā€™d just go back downstairs and sleep in the torture device of a chair.

But, although he let go of Breeā€™s hand, she didnā€™t let go of him. The hand on his chest curled, fisting in his shirt and she moved closer.

ā€œWho says you canā€™t touch me? Who says Iā€™m out of reach?ā€

Her eyes lingered on his mouth and a groan rumbled out of him.

ā€œDonā€™t,ā€ he said, shaking his head.

ā€œDonā€™t what?ā€ She leaned in and kissed his chin.

The threads of his control started to snap like tension wires that threatened to cut and slice and wound as they broke.

Back away. Donā€™t touch, he told himself.

But he didnā€™t do that. He slid a hand into her hair and twisted the thick, heavy curls around his fingers. ā€œYou should go back to bed, Bree,ā€ he said thickly.

ā€œAnd you should let me decide what I should and shouldnā€™t do.ā€

Then she leaned in and kissed him.

Her tongue slid along his lower lip.

She dragged her hands down his chest and caught the front of his shirt, tugging it free of the waistband of his trousers. ā€œI want you naked,ā€ she said against his mouth. ā€œI want your hands on me and I want to be naked.ā€

ā€œBreeā€¦ā€

She tipped her head back and met his eyes in the darkened room.

ā€œWeā€¦ā€ He shook his head rapidly. ā€œDonā€™t do this, okay?ā€

ā€œWhy not?ā€

ā€œBecause Iā€¦ā€ Air coming in ragged bursts, he tried to think of the most logical explanation.

Because once wasnā€™t enough? Because he didnā€™t know how to handle this? Becauseā€¦becauseā€¦

There was a logical reason and he knew it.

But then Bree kissed him and the thought of logic died in a shuddering explosion.

Wrapping his arms around her, he pulled her up against him.

F*ck Club Con (Book Two)
Release Date: March 24th 2017

Rule #2ā€¦Respect the ladies.

Conner Steele has nothing but respect for ladies. He absolutely adores them and takes more than a little bit of pride in his jobā€”or rather, his former job.

After a run-in with a cop, former male escort Con, along with his brother Riley and best friend Shame, decided it might just be best to hang up theirā€¦hats and retire from the business of being paid to pleasure.

After all, they have a profitable business going with their new pub. No reason to ruin a good thing and Con is more than happy to keep pleasing the ladiesā€”justā€¦no longer as a job. Finding a date or company for the night has never been an issue for him, either. Heā€™s been told more than once that he can charm a tiger out of its stripes. But lately a new hire at the bar is turning the tables on himā€”she is the one charming him, twisting him up into knots and getting him so worked up, he can barely see straight.

In his rather expert opinion, Shawntelle Callahan is nothing less than a queen.

And sheā€™s a queen on a mission, too. Even as tangled up as he is over her, he can see that. First she tries to coax him out of retirement for one last engagement. When that doesnā€™t work, she sets out to drive him crazy. After finally admitting that sheā€™s a writer whoā€™s looking to do a story on male escorts, Con realizes it will be best to just stay away from Shawntelle. Sure, she says sheā€™s just looking for some hands-on information but he knows thereā€™s more to it than that. There are secrets in her eyes, barely hidden lies and doubt.
