Book Blitz~ Want It by Jennifer Chance
Jennifer Chance returns with another novel that'll keep you hooked.
About WANT IT:
In the latest tantalizing Rule Breakers novel from Jennifer Chance, an irresistible alpha male follows his ex into a deadly standoff—and reignites a heated affair.
For Erin Connelly, being a good girl isn’t such a bad thing. She’s working her dream job at a Boston art gallery and staying out of trouble, which is more than she can say for her deadbeat mom. Unfortunately, her mother’s latest misadventure lands her in the clutches of a Mexican drug lord. Now the only person who can save her is the one man Erin has no business asking for help: the sexy-as-sin army ranger who just so happens to be her former high school sweetheart.
Zander James is no gentleman—and no officer, either, thanks to Erin. Four years ago, she made a call that terminated his highest aspirations ... and their relationship. He’s never forgiven her, but when he learns that Erin’s embarking on a half-baked rescue mission, he sure as hell can’t let her go alone. Now, with a treacherous enemy lying in wait, the electrifying tension between them may just be Zander’s undoing. Because while he may be able to keep Erin alive, he can’t promise to keep his hands off her.
Excerpt 5: Come Here You
A note to readers from author Jennifer Chance:
Zander kissed Erin’s mouth so softly, so gently, that her entire world seemed to balance on its edge, precariously wobbling, just begging to fall.
“Zander, I—”
“Shhh,” he murmured. “I’m a trained professional.”
She couldn’t help it. The tiniest giggle escaped from her, and she leaned in to him just a fraction of an inch. She’d override all her own better instincts for one hot second, she decided. She could allow herself that, surely. She sighed and tilted her head back, letting Zander deepen the kiss if he wanted, content for the moment to just be in the circle of his arms.
Zander didn’t need any further invitation.
Without moving his hands from hers, he pressed himself against her, branding her mouth, and it was as if all the questions between them evaporated, leaving nothing but heat and adrenaline and an endless, aching need. A need that suddenly seemed all encompassing. Zander had been gone for so long, saving everyone but her, and now, for just this moment, in the cocoon of the hotel room where everything was still possible and nothing had yet gone wrong, she just wanted to—
“You know, you’re thinking an awful lot for someone about to get laid,” Zander murmured.
And just like that, it was like they were teenagers again. Erin’s laughter slipped out, loud and unrestrained, and Zander picked her up so easily that it startled her. And then they were in the bed, both of them fighting for the top position, but Zander winning easily—even more easily than he had before. His body loomed large as he stretched out on top of her, staring for one second into her eyes. That’s all she got, that one second, because then he shifted his gaze away and his mouth was at her temple, his body curving into hers as her legs parted naturally and she hooked her heels behind his legs. Erin still was fully dressed, but she was fast losing her grip on reality as Zander trailed a row of kisses across her cheek and along the delicate ridge of her ear.
“You’re still so goddamned beautiful, you know that, Erin?”

The Book Fairy Reviews's review
Loving every minute of this highly passionate and loving story. Needing someone, well not just any one, needing Zander the man that she fell in love with then betrayed. Asking him to help her seemed out of the question especially on a sad event as the one that Erin, finds herself in. But ask him she must.
Seeing the one woman who broke him, scarred him, the one he couldn't get out of his system, well this was just perfect. Zander would finally get her out of his system once and for all.
What neither of them realized was that their system was simply drawn to each other, their was only one choice for them really. Love each other and find a way to learn each other again as adults with rational minds and passion in their hearts.
Thrilling, Zander Ranger and sexy as hell vows to protect Erin and in doing so realizes that he never stopped loving her. Now if only he could get her to open up.
This story was perfect in the way she gets the characters to not only reconnect but to really learn the things they neglected to learn about each other when they were younger.
I also like the fact that through the ordeal that they had to face they not only learn about each other but learn things about them selves. Revelations that might help them better for each other in the present and future.
I definitely Wanted to gobble this book up with in the first chapter, hook line and Sinker!

Author InterviewHello, Suzy! Thank you so much for interviewing me today. ☺ I’m excited that you are part of the tour (and I love your site!) Since the holidays are crazy, let’s just jump right in!.
It's my pleasure, Jennifer! Great to have you here :)
Tell me. Do dreams ever inspire your writing? What did you last dream about?
Dreams FREQUENTLY inspire my writing. In fact, two different stories I’ve written have been the result of a dream. My last dream, sadly, had me traveling with my best friend and we (randomly) were being chased by special forces operatives… no idea why. But this could be coming to a book plot near you soon! ☺
When did you first start writing? And when were you first published?
I first started writing when I was about 10 or 11 years old—what we would call “Fan Fiction” today. I was first published in 2013 in Young Adult historical (under the name Jennifer McGowan), and my first romance was published this year!
What is it about 'chick lit' that appeals to you the most? Do you read other genres?
I read many other genres, but I think “chick lit” is interesting because it’s about the woman’s journey as much as the romance. You get to travel with the heroine on her own voyage of discovery.
Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
Absolutely! WANT IT is the story of artist and new-grad Erin Connelly who needs a hero—badly—but the only one available is her ex-boyfriend turned Army Ranger Zander James. He’s hot and he’s capable, but he also hates her. Which makes asking him for help to save her mom all that much more difficult. But having no other choice, she does. . . and discovers that having a hero on her hands is an adventure waiting to happen.
What inspired you to write it?
This story actually grew out of the characters. Once I latched onto Zander as being Erin’s ex boyfriend—and a military hero as well—his story fell into place. WANT IT has more “action-adventure” than my other books, but was so much fun to write!
Have you ever spotted anyone reading your books anywhere?
Ha! I have not—yet! But my books are available only via ebook right now, so it’s a little more difficult to tackle someone to see what’s on her Kindle. ☺
Who designs your covers?
The team at Random House created the cover look for the Rule Breakers books—and they keep getting better and better!
If your latest book was made into a film, who would you cast?
Great question! For Erin, I would probably go with Natalie Portman, and for Zander… Channing Tatum! Because, why not?
What's your favourite Chick Lit book that made it to the big screen?
The one I’m curious to see is the adaptation of Austenland… but I heard the movie wasn’t terribly good, so maybe I should just fan-fic that one in my head. ☺
What were the last two books you read?
Ha! You don’t want to know—they were research books for some upcoming projects and are pretty daggone dark. On the fiction front, I’ve been hooked on James Rollins for a few months now—reading his entire series!
Name one female author who you think deserves to be better known.
Bria Quinlan. She writes funny, emotional adult and YA love stories that I absolutely adore. Her amazon page is here.
Where do you write?
Usually on the couch---unless I’m in a recliner, or on my bed, or (gasp!) at my desk. I have also been known to write in coffee shops and breakfast diners, and occasionally in the car. Sometimes even while driving, but only under duress!
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? And did you follow the dream?
An author! And yes, I did. It took awhile, but I got there!
In the movie of your life, who would play you?
Tina Fey—because it would need to be someone with a sense of humor. ☺
Speed Round...
Top drink to make you tipsy? Wine!
Shopaholic or shopadon't? Shopadon’t—I’m a Buy-ologist.
Sky high heels or closer to the ground? Closer to the ground unless I am just standing—not walking.
E.L. James or Jilly Cooper? Jilly Cooper? Only because she’s new to me! ☺
Cry baby or tough cookie? Cry baby at anything emotional. I’m a sap.
Exotic beach or enchanted forest? BEACH. Hands…wait a minute. Enchanted? Okay, fine, enchanted forest.
