In this electrifying novel from Cassie Mae, two close friends surprise themselves by shifting from platonic love to sexual attraction.
Eric Matua has one friend—his best friend and childhood sweetheart, who needs a place to stay for the summer. Mia Johnson has thousands of friends—who live in her computer. Along with her email chats and Facebook notifications, Mia also devours romance novels, spending countless hours with fictional characters, dreaming of her own Romeo to sweep her off her feet. When she starts receiving supersweet messages from a stranger who thinks she’s someone else, Mia begins to believe that real love is possible outside her virtual world.
When the two friends become roommates, Mia finds herself falling harder than she ever thought she could. But Eric keeps his desires locked away, unsure of himself and his ability to give his best friend what she deserves in a boyfriend. As her advances are continually spurned, Mia splits her time between Eric and her computer. But she soon realizes she’s about to lose the only real thing she’s ever had.†

My 5 Star Review

Have you read that book that made you look at yourself in the mirror ans say Yeah I totally get it?! This is your book and possibly your story!

The story of Eric and Emmy might be one that is totally based on the reality of today's technology addicted society. I mean ask your self.... Did you check you phone today? How about, did you check your FB feed? Twitter? How many times did your phone buzz with in the last minute it took you to read this?? Yes I am guilty of the same thing. But After reading this... I am turning my feed off, silencing my phone and putting my e-reader aside so that I can be in the present, here and now!
Eric and Emmy separated by distance yet connected by technology finally get to spend the summer together to reconnect on a human level... face to face. Can it work if your used to having a screen glowing to make you feel alive? That is exactly what happens to them. Emmy is so used to living through the world wide wed she forgets that the man she has dreamed of having is right here and waiting for her to sign off.
Eric, thrilled that he finally has the girl of his dreams in his arms, but is struggling. Struggling not to freak out and have an all out panic attack when she responds to his embrace or kiss. Not being one that is confident in any kind of circumstances much less with a woman, he finds it hard to compete with Emmy's other love... the internet.
I found that I connected the most with Emmy, yes always checking my feed and my email and having my e-reader attached to me at all times, I think I more than connected with her. It is a hard thing to let go of the things that you feel bring you comfort, but like Emmy I realize that we have to live outside of this addicting world and embrace The Real Thing when it is staring at you in the face. Put down the phone and go outside. Let go of my reader and put my toe in the ocean and let it take me into a world of relaxation. Yeah I more than connected with Emmy I became her while reading this amazingly insightful story and although I don't have an Eric to go along with the inner discovery, I did learn that I have to make sure I see the people around me to ensure that I connect with them and their lives.
This is the first book I have read by Cassie Mae but I have become a huge fan. I really enjoyed the floe of discovery between Eric and Emmy, it never failed to move me in all the yummy ways you would expect. This book is Sexy, Fun, heartbreaking and Eyeopening with and ending that left me in tears(happy tears). I loved every minute that I had my e-reader stuck in my face living through Emmy and Eric. Now all I can say is I want more Cassie!!!
